Below is a listing of results and stats from the fourth week of the girls volleyball season. This is for matches played through Sept. 7. Information is gathered via MaxPreps, coach email submissions and team social media accounts. A lack of individual stats listed means none of those sources provided that information.

The Eastwood volleyball team went won two of their three matches last week, including a big four-set victory over rival Lake.

In the win over Lake, Mack Miller (18) and Ivy Schrader (15) combined for 33 kills, while Braily Moenter (7) and Vanessa Evans (6) added 13 more. Schrader had a team-best four aces, while Addyson Leppelmeier had three. Miller contributed six blocks, and Evans added four more. Macey White (30) and Miller (16) combined for 46 digs, while Schrader finished one dig shy of a double-double. Olivia Riter led the Eagles with 41 assists.

Miller (18) and Schrader (12) added 30 more combined kills in the sweep of Rossford, while Evans had six. Miller tacked on five aces, while Moenter (3) and Miller (2) combined for five blocks. White (11), Miller (9), Schrader (8), Evans (7), and Riter (6) led a balanced attack in digs, while Riter had 28 assists.

In a straight-set loss to Ottawa-Glandorf, where the final two sets were decided by just two points, Miller had nine kills, six digs and two blocks, while White added 17 digs and three aces. Riter chipped in 19 assists, and Schrader had seven kills.

The Eagles (6-2) will be at Maumee on Tuesday, at home against Fostoria on Thursday and at BGHS on Saturday.

The Genoa volleyball team fell in five sets to Maumee before losing a straight-set battle with Otsego last week.

Makenna Moritz had a triple-double with 20 kills, 28 digs, and 14 assists against the Panthers. Riley Sinift added 15 kills and four blocks, and Lucy Schlageter contributed eight kills and two blocks along with team-bests in digs (36) and assists (19). Mya Rethman led the Comets with two aces. Charli Magnone (29), Mya Colvin (13) and Rethman (10) added double-digit digs.

Moritz (9) and Sinift (5) combined for 14 kills against Otsego, Vivian Clement had three blocks, and the trio of Schlageter (18), Moritz (13), and Magnone (11) combined for 42 digs. Moritz (8) and Schlageter (7) added 14 assists.

The Comets (3-4) will be back in action Tuesday against Oak Harbor, Thursday against Rossford, and at Swanton on Saturday.

The Cardinal Stritch volleyball team opened the week with a sweep over Vanlue before falling to Ottawa Hills in four sets on the road.

Olivia Ford led Stritch with 18 kills against Vanlue, while Gabby Cathers (5) and Kennedy Burzynski (3) totaled eight aces. Eliyah Pecina had the lone block, Ryley Rodriguez (8) and Morgan Kennedy (5) finished with 13 digs, and Hayden Mathena had 25 assists.

No stats were available for the Ottawa Hills match as the Cardinals (5-2) will face Old Fort on Saturday in their lone match of the week.

The Lake volleyball team fell in four sets to rival Eastwood to open the week, but finished it with a sweep of Maumee and a big road win over Perkins in four sets.

Mylah Vorst led the Flyers with 19 kills and seven blocks against Eastwood, while Kennedy Falkenberg (13) and Harlow Haberland (7) added 20 more combined. Savanna Saunders added a double-double with 25 assists, 12 digs and two aces. Caity Extine (4), Falkenberg, Laynie Meadows, and Haberland each had at least three blocks. Calli Conley led the team with 19 digs, while Meadows (14), Lucy Boos (12), and Kortney Rollins (10) each added double-digits.

Falkenberg (11), Vorst (8), and Meadows (8) led the way in terminations against Maumee, while Saunders had 18 assists, nine digs, and four aces. Meadows added three aces, while Haberland and Extine each had three blocks. Boos had 14 digs and 13 assists along with three kills.

Vorst (13), Falkenberg (11), Boos (9), and Extine (7) had 40 kills against Perkins, while Meadows (4), Conley (3) and Saunders (3) each had at least three aces. Falkenberg led the team with two blocks, Conley (13) and Boos (9) led in digs, and Saunders (21) and Boos (15) totaled 36 assists.

The Flyers (7-2) are back in action Tuesday at Otsego and Thursday against Oak Harbor at home.

The Gibsonburg volleyball team picked up straight-set victories over Lakota and Woodmore before falling to Swanton last week.

In the win over Lakota, Leah Hall (14) and Ava Dawson (11) combined for 25 terminations, while Riley Gressman added nine. Dawson and Emma Jividen each had nine digs, while Hall contributed eight. The trio of Hall, Dawson, and Emily Henderson had two aces each. Katie Hall (19 assists, six digs) and Brooklyn Smith (16 assists, six digs) also helped in the win, while Leah Hall and Mackenzie Muntz each had two blocks.

Leah Hall had 10 kills, 10 digs, and two aces in the victory over Woodmore, while Katie Hall had 10 assists, five digs, two aces, and one block. Ava Dawson (8) and Riley Gressman (6) totaled 14 kills, while Dawson added five digs. Smith chipped in nine assists, and Ava Amor added six. Muntz led the team with two blocks.

In a four-set battle with Swanton, Gressman (12), Leah Hall (8), and Ava Dawson (7) led the way in terminations. Dawson (18), Leah Hall (15), Katie Hall (14), and Smith (11) each had double-digit digs. Leah Hall and Gressman had two aces apiece. Smith (21) and Katie Hall (11) combined for 32 assists, and the trio of Katie Hall (4), Muntz, and Gressman had at least three blocks each.

The Golden Bears (6-2) are back in action Tuesday against Calvert and Thursday against SJCC.

The Clay volleyball team defeated Whitmer and Springfield in straight sets last week.

Eme Goetz (13) and Maddie Franke (9) combined for 22 kills against Whitmer, while Goetz finished off a double-double with 10 aces. Leah Hazuda and Franke had two blocks apiece, while Jadyn Kennedy (12) and Hazuda (11) added 23 digs. Hayden Rodriguez led the way with 22 assists.

The win over Springfield featured 13 kills from Goetz and nine more from Franke. Goetz added six more aces to her big week serving. Kennedy (8) and Franke (5) added 13 digs, while Rodriguez chipped in 30 assists.

The Eagles (6-3) face Fremont Ross on Tuesday in their lone match of the week.

The Oak Harbor volleyball team swept Rossford and Fostoria to finish 2-0 last week.

Alayna Hall (11), Myley Sandwisch (7), and Tatum Baumgartner (6) combined for 24 kills against Rossford. The Rockets combined for 14 aces as a team with at least three from Laney Schmidt (4), Baumgartner, Morgan Lalonde, and Sandwisch. Ava Lynch (15) and Baumgartner (12) had 27 digs, while Sandwisch (17) and Bella Rios (10) totaled 27 assists. Rios added five kills, while Sandwisch added nine digs.

Baumgartner was the lone Rocket in double-digit kills against Fostoria with 17, although Hall added seven. Lalonde (4), Baumgartner (3) and Lynch (3) totaled 10 of the team’s 11 aces, while Hall had three blocks. Lynch (13), Rios (9), Sandwisch (8), and LaLonde (7) combined for 37 digs, and Sandwisch compiled 18 assists.

The Rockets (9-2) are back in action Tuesday against Genoa and Thursday at Lake.

The Woodmore volleyball team dropped a trio of matches against Calvert and Gibsonburg last week. Ariana Florio led the Wildcats in kills against Calvert with five. Vida Guillen (4), Florio, Lacey Lipstraw, and Karli Heins each had at least three digs, and Guillen distributed nine assists. Lipstraw led the team with 10 terminations and two aces against Gibsonburg. Guillen (13), Lipstraw (11), Heins (8), and Payton Whitcum (6) combined for 38 of the team’s 41 digs, and Guillen tallied 17 assists. The Wildcats (2-6) are back in action against Old Fort on Tuesday and St. Mary Central Catholic on Thursday.

The Waite volleyball team fell in four sets to Start on Sept. 3, and the scheduled Sept. 6 match against Rogers doesn’t have a score/result listed. Stats weren’t reported for either match. The Indians are slated to be in action at Bowsher on Wednesday and at Delta on Thursday.

The Northwood volleyball team fell to New Riegel and Rossford, while picking up a win against St. Mary Central Catholic. Stats weren’t reported for any of the matches. The Rangers (2-6) are back in action Tuesday against Hopewell-Loudon, Thursday against Danbury and Saturday vs. Rogers.
