Clay High School officials celebrated the 100th anniversary of the school on Labor Day weekend, with festivities having kicked off last Friday. From 3-6 p.m., visitors were welcomed for a historical exhibit inside Potter Field House and self-guided tours of the school. That night, during the football team’s win over Bowling Green, members of the athletic department honored the latest athletic hall of fame class, as well as past and present Clay athletic directors. A special performance was given by the Clay marching band and fireworks were set off throughout the night. At halftime, 100-year-old and 1944 Clay graduate Doris Meier was recognized as the school’s oldest living graduate. (Photos by Nicholas Huenefeld)
