Below is a listing of results and stats from the fourth week of the boys soccer season. This is for matches played through Sept. 7. Information is gathered via MaxPreps, coach email submissions and team social media accounts. A lack of individual stats listed means none of those sources provided that information.
The Eastwood boys soccer team went 1-1 in matches against Lake (L, 3-0) and Huron (W, 4-0) last week. Caden Oberhouse made 11 saves in goal for the Eagles against Lake. Cody Hefflinger, Austin Miller, Cody Lutz, and Adam Falardeau each scored once against Huron, while Lutz, Ayden Heuerman, and Brady Mohr had one assist apiece. Oberhouse added eight more saves in goal, and freshman Tristan Wolfenbarger also saw time in goal. The Eagles (4-2-1) are back in action Wednesday against Rossford in their lone match of the week.
The Northwood boys soccer team went 1-1 on the week, which included a 6-1 win over Willard and a 3-0 loss to Genoa. The Rangers got a pair of goals from Mason Carlo in the victory against Willard, while CJ Carrizales, Hunter Hagemann, Kris Pacysnki, and Caiden Genson each had one. Genson tallied three assists, and the duo of Carlo and Carrizales had one apiece. Brayden LaGrange made nine saves in goal for the week, including five against Willard. The Rangers (2-5) are slated to face Oak Harbor on Tuesday and Archbold on Thursday.
The Genoa boys soccer team split a pair of games last week, falling 9-0 to Maumee before responding with a 3-0 win over Northwood. Josh Caughorn and Max Huss each scored in the first half for the Comets against the Rangers. The Huss goal came via a corner kick from Jayden Kutchenriter. Caughorn added a third goal for Genoa on a breakaway in the second half. The Comets (2-5) will be back in action Wednesday at Otsego before closing the week against Delta on Saturday.
The Oak Harbor boys soccer team picked up a pair of wins over Rossford (3-2) and Sandusky (5-1) last week. In the win over Sandusky, JT Antesberger had a pair of goals, while Zavier Hess, Owen Gradel, and Joey Judge added one apiece. Against Rossford, the trio of Aidan Boss, Hess, and Gradel had one goal apiece. The Rockets (4-3) are back in action Tuesday against Northwood, Thursday against Columbian, and Saturday against Bryan.
The Woodmore boys soccer team fell 6-1 to Otsego on their lone match of the week. Blake Baughman scored the lone goal, while Jack Avers made 10 saves in goal for the Wildcats (1-3), who will be back in action Sept. 16 at Liberty Center.
The Lake boys soccer team pushed its winning streak to six straight with wins over Eastwood (3-0) and Swanton (3-1) last week. No stats were submitted by Lake (6-1), who will travel to Maumee on Wednesday.
The Clay boys soccer team fell 4-2 to Springfield in their lone match of the week. No statistics were reported for the Eagles (1-3-2), who will face Fremont Ross on Tuesday, Bowling Green on Thursday, and Maumee on Saturday.
