Walter Plantz (25) and Ryan Routson (23) combined for 48 points in the win over Maumee Valley as the Comets jumped out to a 19-5 lead through one quarter. That duo also produced 19 points in the team’s 29-point third quarter. Myles Mollenhauer (11) and Jacob Woollard (10) added a combined 21 points overall.
Plantz had a game-high 15 points in the win over Rossford, which included nine points in the second quarter as Genoa shut out the Bulldogs in the frame. Routson added 13 points, while Mollenhauer (9), Ty Asman (9), Woollard (8), and Jax Magnone (8) had at least eight points apiece.
Clay (11-1, 7-0 NLL) continued its best start since 1974-75 with wins over Southview (48-43) and Northview (49-43).

Reece Walby poured in a game-high 24 points along with four rebounds and three assists against Tiffin Calvert. Hunter Wasserman added a double-double with 10 points, 11 rebounds, and two assists. Aiden Morant (9), Xander Zimmerman (8), and Luke Foster (8) totaled a combined 25 points. Morant led the team with six assists.
The Golden Bears outscored SJCC 67-22 through three quarters, which included 20-plus points in each of them. Walby flirted with a triple-double before finishing with a game-high 22 points, nine steals, eight rebounds, and four assists. Morant added 19 points and five boards, and Wasserman had 12 points and six boards.
Lake (11-2, 4-2 NBC) registered wins over Toledo Christian (81-46) and Maumee (53-45) to continue the program’s best start since 2014-15.
In the non-league win over Toledo Christian, Preston Snyder had nine points in the first quarter en route to a game-high 21 points, while Carter Behlmer (16) and Xavier Scott (13) combined for 19. Behlmer made four 3-pointers to claim Lake’s career record for long distance makes, while Jaxson Rymers (9), Jace Ayers (8), and Jack Sobczak (7) totaled 24 points.
Snyder added a game-best 19 points, including 15 in the second half, to lead Lake past Maumee on the road. Behlmer and Scott added 13 apiece, while three others also reached the scoring column.
Woodmore (6-7, 4-3 SBC) split a pair of games last week, falling to Old Fort (59-35) before knocking off previously undefeated St. Mary Central Catholic (46-44).
After Camden Schwartz led Woodmore against Old Fort with eight points, the Wildcats opened up a double-digit lead in the first quarter against St. Mary Central Catholic, although SMCC took a one-point lead at the break. Woodmore responded with a big 3-pointer late in the third before hanging on late. Carson Slates led the Wildcats with 15 points.
Oak Harbor (3-8, 2-4 NBC) split two games last week, falling to Eastwood (73-53) in the opener before defeating Cardinal Stritch (45-37).
Brayden Ayres poured in a team-best 17 points against Eastwood, while Alex Rife added 10 points. Carson Steinbrick tallied nine points, as well, on a trio of 3-pointers, and Zach Hallett had seven points.
Ayres (18) and Hallett (13) combined for 31 points in the win over Stritch. Hallett drained three 3-pointers, while Steinbrick added two more on the way to seven points. The Rockets pulled away behind a 17-3 advantage in the final quarter.
Cardinal Stritch (5-8, 3-1 TAAC) split its two games during the week, defeating North Central (56-40) before falling on the road to Oak Harbor (45-37) in a non-league contest.
In the win over North Central, King Wilson Jr. exploded for 16 of his game-high 23 points in the second half, including eight in the fourth quarter to lead the Cardinals. Dennis Clark and Erick Graham added nine points apiece, and Xavier Blackman had six.
After building a 29-21 lead at the break, the Cardinals were limited to just eight points in the second half against Oak Harbor. Four players combined for the team’s 37 points, led by 15 from JoVon Burton and 10 from Blackman. Clark (8) and Wilson Jr. (4) added the other 12.
Eastwood (6-4, 3-2 NBC) split a pair of games during the week, falling to Archbold (82-77) on the road before knocking off Oak Harbor (73-53).
In the opener, Archbold scored 51 points in the second half to knock off the Eagles. Brayden Luidhardt had a team-best 20 points, including nine in the fourth quarter, while Drew Luidhardt added 10 of his 17 in the final quarter, as well. Cam Schumaker contributed 16 points, and Logan Miesmer had 13.
The Eagles had five players reach double figures in the Oak Harbor victory, led by 17 from Schumaker. The trio of Drew Luidhardt, Brayden Luidhardt, and Miesmer had 14 apiece, and Ben Buehler tallied 11. That group had all but three of Eastwood’s points. Schumaker finished off a double-double with 10 rebounds, while Drew Luidhardt had seven assists. Miesmer led the way with four steals.
Northwood (2-11, 1-7 SBC) dropped a pair of games last week to Hopewell-Loudon (71-39) and Danbury (73-64). Stats weren’t reported.
