As area teams wrap up their regular seasons, postseason matchups were announced Oct. 5.

In Division II, No. 2 Clay received a bye through sectional play and will open bracket play with a district semifinal matchup against the winner of No. 3 Fremont Ross and No. 6 Start on Oct. 20. The winner likely gets top-seeded Anthony Wayne for the district title on Oct. 22.

In Division III, No. 6 Waite will face No. 3 Central Catholic Oct. 15 in a sectional final. The winner advances to face either No. 2 Notre Dame or No. 7 Woodward in the district semifinal on Oct. 20. The district final is Oct. 22.

In Division IV, Lake and Oak Harbor could potentially meet in a regional final. The potential journey there for the No. 3 Rockets begins with a sectional championship match against No. 5 Clyde on Oct. 16. The winner would then face either No. 2 Bellevue or No. 7 Upper Sandusky.

Meanwhile, top-seeded Lake received a bye through sectional play, and the Flyers will face either No. 4 Sandusky Perkins or No. 6 Vermilion in a district semifinal on Oct. 21. The district final is slated for Oct. 23.

In Division V, No. 2 Eastwood will face No. 6 Rossford in a sectional final on Oct. 16. The winner gets No. 3 Swanton in the district semifinal round Oct. 21, and a potential championship match against top-seeded Ottawa-Glandorf looms in the final two days later.

In the lower half of that bracket, No. 5 Genoa will face No. 4 Evergreen in a sectional final on Oct. 16. The winner will face either No. 1 Archbold or No. 7 Delta in a district semifinal on Oct. 21 with the championship slated for Oct. 23.

Should Eastwood and Genoa both advance out of district play, they would meet in the regional semifinal.
