Clay (1-1) knocked off Liberty-Benton 2-1 in its lone game of the week. No stats were reported.
Eastwood (2-0) opened its season with a pair of wins over Van Buren (3-1) and Liberty Center (4-0). The Eagles got one goal apiece from Josie Appelhans, Karissa Nelson, and Lauren Schuerman against Van Buren, and Macy Shoemaker tallied two assists. Ava Kachmarik made six saves in goal. Appelhans and Nelson each added another against Liberty Center, while Shoemaker and Sophia Zunk also added one each. Appelans and Katelin Russell earned two assists apiece, as well, while Kachmarik made 12 saves in the shutout.
Genoa (2-0) opened its season with a pair of wins over Evergreen (10-1) and Port Clinton (9-0). Izzy West scored four goals against Evergreen, while Malani Smith had two. Other goals were from Lillian Oehlers, Tatum Szych, and Ava Houghtaling. West added three more goals against Port Clinton, while Smith and Oehlers chipped in two apiece. Adeline Myers and Isabella Sondergeld had one apiece.
Lake (0-2) opened its season with losses to Delta (3-2) and Bowling Green (8-2). Macey Maguire and Savannah Little produced the team’s goals against Delta, while Payton Brickner (4) and Peyton Tallman (2) combined for six saves. Maguire joined Maddie Solomon for Lake’s two goals against BGHS, while Little and Sagan Schroyer had the assists. Tallman (13) and Brickner (1) combined for 14 saves.
Northwood (0-3) dropped a pair of games to Toledo Christian (12-0) and Swanton (13-0). Trista Towner (6) and Emma Kirkpatrick (3) combined for nine saves against Toledo Christian.
Oak Harbor (2-0) knocked off Upper Sandusky 3-0 in its lone game of the week. Haylee Robinson made back-to-back saves on a penalty kick sequence to keep the game scoreless early before Kennedy Slates, Avery Mikolas, and Gabs Neiderhouse produced the scoring.
Waite (0-0) didn’t have any games and was slated to open its season Aug. 26 against Start.
Woodmore (0-0) didn’t have any games and was slated to open its season Aug. 24 against Liberty Center.
