This roundup covers games from Oct. 6 through the end of the regular season, except for Clay, who plays at Findlay to conclude the regular season on Oct. 15, and Woodmore, who won its postseason opener. Northwood also lost its tournament opener.

The Woodmore girls soccer team posted shutout victories over Bellevue and Tiffin Columbian to conclude the regular season. Then, they opened postseason play with another shutout over Huron, which means they have won five consecutive matches by a combined 32-0 score. The Wildcats have totaled 15 shutout victories and allowed just four goals over 18 games on the season. The Huron win featured four goals from Kelsey Kaylor, along with one apiece from Izzy Helmke and Rylie Hesselbart. The trio of Abbie Schmeltz, Grace Hablitzel, and Ariana Florio combined for the shutout in goal without having to make a save. The Tiffin Columbian victory featured two goals apiece from Emma Hahn and Camille Strong, while Bailey Meggitt, Kaylor, and Willow Lewis had one apiece. Schmeltz made two saves. The tournament win featured four more goals from Kaylor along with one apiece from Strong and Hesselbart. Schmeltz made three saves. The Wildcats (16-1-1) are slated to continue tournament play against Crestview on Oct. 20.

The Genoa girls soccer team posted a strong finish to its regular season with two more shutout victories over Ottawa Hills (6-0) and Port Clinton (10-0), which pushed their streak of consecutive shutout wins to five. They also completed an undefeated regular season at 13-0-3 overall. In the win over Port Clinton, NBC Player of the Year Adrianna Williams produced a school single-game record seven goals for the Comets, while Tatum Szych added two goals. In the win over Ottawa Hills, Ava Houghtaling had a team-best two goals, while Malani Smith, Lauren Hoeft, Williams, and Payton Burner had one apiece. Goalkeeper Addi Moritz finished the regular season with just eight goals allowed, which is another school record. On top of that, Szych had a school record 22 assists in the regular season. The Comets will open postseason play against Lake at home on Oct. 15.

The Eastwood girls soccer team also finished the season in strong fashion, producing a 2-2 tie against Liberty-Benton and a 7-1 win over Evergreen, which gave the Eagles (11-2-4) a 10-match undefeated streak entering postseason play against Rossford on Oct. 15. The L-B victory included goals from Piper Sutton and Karissa Nelson, while Karly Wasserman and Nelson had the assists. Ava Kachmarik made eight saves in goal. Against Evergreen, the Eagles exploded for five goals in the second half, which included four in the game from Sutton. Wasserman, Josie Appelhans, and Nelson added the other goals. Nelson and Katelin Russell had two assists each, while Wasserman, Appelhans, and Macy Shoemaker had one helper apiece. Kachmarik made two saves.

The Oak Harbor girls soccer team concluded its regular season with shutout victories over Wauseon (7-0) and Huron (2-0). Claire Blausey scored four times against Wauseon, including the first two and last two goals. In between, Gabs Neiderhouse scored twice and Olivia May added another. Emma Lewis had three assists, while the trio of Blausey, May, and Skyler Schultz had one assist each. Haylee Robinson made two saves. In the win over Huron, Lewis and Kennedy Slates split the two goals, while May added one assist. The goal from Slates came directly off a corner kick. Robinson posted the shutout without needing a save. The Rockets will open postseason play at home against Vermilion on Oct. 15.

The Lake girls soccer team concluded the regular season with shutout victories over Bryan (3-0) and Central Catholic (13-0). The win over Bryan included goals from Savannah Little, Sagan Schroyer, and Morgann Blandin with assists from Macey Maguire, Little, and Paige Allen. Serenity Cappelletty had 13 saves. Little, who made her season debut just a few games prior, then exploded for a single-season program record eight goals against Central Catholic, while Brooke Wiley broke the similar assist record with eight. Allie Byington and Schroyer added two goals apiece, while Maguire had the other. Blandin (2), Little, and Kaydence Eckenrode combined for the other four assists, while Cappelletty had two saves. The Flyers (8-5-3) are slated to open postseason play on the road against Genoa Oct. 15.

The Clay girls soccer team registered a 3-2 victory over Bowling Green on Oct. 8 to clinch the Northern Lakes League Cardinal Division title. They fell 5-0 to Anthony Wayne three days later and will conclude the regular season at Findlay on Oct. 15. Stats weren’t reported for either match. The Eagles (9-5-2) will open postseason play on the road against Ashland on Oct. 20.

The Northwood girls soccer team (0-18) concluded its season with a regular season loss against Sandusky Perkins and a tournament-opening loss against Archbold.
