William George Detzel, age 85, of Graytown, Ohio, died peacefully Sunday, August 30, 2026, with his loving family close by. He was born and raised in Graytown, Ohio, on October 20, 1940, to Katherine and William Detzel.
Bill’s memory will be cherished by his children, Larry (Pat) Detzel, Cindy (Harry) Teeple, Debbie (Tim) Piercefield, Bill (Jolene) Detzel; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Bill was preceded in death by his wife Judith Detzel; his son, David Detzel; his son-in-law, Harry Teeple; his parents, Katherine and William Detzel; and his sister, Joanne Hahn.
Visitation was held, Friday, September 4, from 3:00-7:00 p.m. at Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home, with a parish wake service at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass was conducted at 10:00 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church, 215 Church St., Oak Harbor with Father Zach Brown officiating.
