Ronald Dean Pylant, 67, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on October 21, 2024. Born on February 15, 1957, he was the beloved son of William C. and Doris Pylant.
A proud graduate of Lake High School and Penta Career Center, Ronald pursued welding and worked at the shipyards, and later became a mechanic for Jeep. He also attended the Motorcycle Mechanic Institute. He was skilled in mechanics, enjoying tinkering with bikes and equipment.
Ronald loved racing, fishing, and stained glass art. He enjoyed playing cards, reading, and sharing stories from the library. An adventurous spirit, he traveled to places like Sturgis and Colorado. He also cherished meals at the Skillet in Walbridge.
He is survived by his mother, Doris; his children, Josh Pylant (Carrie Moon) and Curtis Pylant (Jessica Pisano); grandchildren, Joshua, Colton, Blake, Leah, and Aubrey; his brother, David (Diana) Pylant; niece, Darcy (Hayley); nephew, Dereck, and great-nephews, Memphis Jagger and Augustine Lee. He is preceded in death by his father, William; sister-in-law, Diana Pylant; special friend, Heather Raynor; and great-nephews, Brecken George and Zander.
A celebration of Ronald’s life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations in Ronald’s honor may be made to the care of the family. Witzler-Shank-Walker Funeral Home, Walbridge assisted with arrangements.
