Larry Henderson, 83, of Walbridge, OH passed away surrounded by family on July 12, 2025.
He was born on April 2, 1942 in Massillon, Ohio to Charles N. and Kathryn (Witting) Henderson. He was a proud graduate of Clay High School Class of 1960. He married Suzanne Christiansen on October 5, 1963. He worked as a carman on the railroad, and then found his true calling as a carpenter. He was a carpenter for over 40 years with Local 248/351 before his retirement in 2003. Larry also served as a volunteer firefighter for Walbridge/Lake Township Fire Department for over 10 years.
Larry is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Sue; children, Gary (Michalina) Henderson and Debra (Joel) Major; grandchildren, Julie Henderson, Chad Major, Anne (John) Lombardo, Sarah Major, and Adam Major; great-grandchildren, Maci Magrum and Baby Lombardo due in December; brother-in-law Kent (Linda) Christiansen; and sister-in-law Ruth Henderson. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Charles E. and Harry; and his sister, Sandra
Funeral services were held on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at Freck Funeral Chapel.
