The Oak Harbor Area Chamber of Commerce will hold their annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 12, at 2 p.m.
Kids are invited to bring their baskets and hunt for eggs in Adolphus Kraemer Park at the Log Cabin, followed by a candy hunt downtown.
The candy stops will be at the following Downtown Oak Harbor Businesses: Community Markets, The Riverside Roost, Clothing Corral, First National Bank (at the Chamber Building), Oak Harbor Hardware Store, Howard Hanna, Designs By Marie, Wild Brew, Perfect Imperfections and McDonald’s.
The Easter Bunny will be available for pictures at the Log Cabin as well.
This event is free to the public and open to children ages 12 and under.

Genoa Easter Egg Hunt
The Genoa Area Kiwanis Club and Genoa American Legion Post 324 will sponsor the Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday April 19, at 1 p.m. at Genoa Veterans Park, 600 Washington St. In case of inclement weather the event will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 204 South Main St.
The Egg Hunt is open to all children living in the Genoa Area School District. Participants will be divided into age categories including ages 1 and 2, ages 3 and 4, age 5 and kindergarten, first grade, second grade, and third grade.
Several Easter baskets will be available to those children finding specially marked eggs. There will also be a Grand Prize Easter Basket Drawing.

Egg Hunt planned at Schedel Arboretum
Schedel Arboretum & Gardens will present an Easter Egg Hunt Saturday, April 19, from 11 a.m.-3 p.m., rain or shine. Schedel is located at 19255 W. Portage River S. Rd., Elmore.
Egg Hunt times are 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. Three separate egg hunting areas will be designated for children in age groups between 1-12. Special golden egg opportunities will be available for both sessions.
Participating children should bring their own baskets. The event is free, but donations of canned goods for the Elmore Food Bank are appreciated.

St. Peter’s Church of Christ and Eastminster United Presbyterian Church are sponsoring their annual Easter Egg Hunt Saturday, April 12, from 1-3 p.m., 28505 Main St., Millbury.
The event will also feature an Easter Bunny meet-and-greet, an Easter story, crafts, activities and refreshments.

“Lint! The Musical”

Rachel Ruysch: Nature into Art
Visitors will discover the life, legacy, and artistic mastery of Rachel Ruysch in a landmark exhibition at the Toledo Museum of Art.
“Rachel Ruysch: Nature into Art,” which will run April 12-July 27, will showcase for the first time one of the most celebrated painters of the 17th and 18th centuries. Featuring Ruysch’s masterful flower paintings alongside prints, drawings, illustrated books, and natural specimens, the exhibition explores her artistic achievements and the connections between art, science and natural history.
“Renowned for her exquisite still-life paintings, Ruysch achieved exceptional fame in her time, garnering admiration for her masterful technique and her ability to intertwine the beauty of nature with scientific observation,” said Robert Schindler, William Hutton Curator of European Art at TMA and the exhibition’s curator. “Despite her exceptional career, Ruysch’s contributions to art history have been underexplored. Through this exhibition, we aim to shine a spotlight on her remarkable achievements and trace her illustrious career while exploring the rich connections in her work between art and science during the Scientific Revolution.”

Library to present Authors! series
The Toledo Lucas County Public Library will welcome comedy writer, producer, and actor Bruce Vilanch; best-selling Regency and Georgian romance novelist Eloisa James, and women’s fiction author Sarah Penner to its Authors! series this spring. They join Laura Lippman, Adam Nimoy, and Viola Shipman as part of the 2025 series.
Highlighting genres such as memoir, mystery, romance, and thrillers, these acclaimed authors will take the stage at Main Library’s McMaster Center. Each event will include a moderated discussion about the author’s creative process and the inspiration behind their work, followed by a brief Q&A session.

Perrysburg Chorale Anniversary Gala
Tickets are on sale for Perrysburg Chorale’s 30th Anniversary Gala, which will be held Saturday, May 24, in the Grand Lobby at the Valentine Theatre, 410 Adams St., Toledo.
Doors open at 5 p.m. for a cocktail hour and dinner will begin at 6 p.m. The show, which will feature Jonathan Torrence, Cait Leow and Thunder Lily, will begin at 7 p.m. Guests should “dress to impress.”
Dinner will be a buffet consisting of salad, pasta and sauce options, bread sweets and coffee. A cash bar will be available. A silent auction will also be held.

Earnest to operate The Wheelhouse
Metroparks Toledo has selected earnest brew works to operate The Wheelhouse Coffee and Tap Room at the Beach Ridge area of Oak Openings Preserve.
Earnest plans to open The Wheelhouse in the spring with a taproom pouring up to a dozen of its craft beers, a coffee shop, food and merchandise to serve bicyclists, guests of the Treehouse Village and other visitors at the region’s largest Metropark. The company will contract with Wild Roots Coffee to provide coffee and food management services.
The Wheelhouse is part of the Beach Ridge Area, 3520 Waterville-Swanton Road (SR 64), Swanton, where the Cannaley Treehouse Village opened in 2020. Beach Ridge is also a trailhead for the 12-mile-long Beach Ridge Singletrack mountain bike trail; FitPark: Ride, a mountain bike skills course; and a new playground.
