Free coffee tasting celebrates members of Sunshine

Posted

Officials at Georgette’s Coffee with a Cause, a mission-driven coffee brand of Sunshine Communities, invites the community to enjoy a free tasting at Bassett’s Market Friday, July 24 from 10 a.m. to noon.

Guests are encouraged to stop by, sample Georgette’s Ohio-roasted coffee, meet the individuals who help make the brand possible and learn how every purchase supports meaningful employment opportunities for people with developmental disabilities.

Complimentary samples will feature some of Georgette’s signature blends such as Georgette’s Sunrise, a smooth medium roast crafted from three 100% Arabica beans, and Jamaican Me Crazy, a customer favorite with notes of creamy caramel, vanilla, coffee liqueur and a hint of rum flavor.

Every bag purchased through Georgette’s helps create meaningful employment opportunities for people with developmental disabilities, while also supporting a nonprofit that has empowered individuals across northwest Ohio for more than 75 years.

“We’re proud to offer an Ohio-roasted coffee that makes a difference with every cup,” director of marketing and communications for Sunshine Communities Mallory Crooks said. “This tasting is a unique opportunity to support a locally owned grocery store, discover a quality Ohio coffee brand, meet the individuals behind the mission and see firsthand how your purchase helps create meaningful opportunities for people with developmental disabilities.

The event is free and open to the public, and Georgette’s coffee is available for purchase at Bassett’s Market and other retailers throughout northwest Ohio.
