Walbridge, Rossford Catholic church mass schedules changing

Posted

Beginning July 1, St. Jerome Parish in Walbridge and All Saints Parish in Rossford, which have been “sister parishes” since 2022, will observe new worship schedules.

The change comes as the two communities, which have been served by two priests of the Diocese of Toledo — a pastor and a parochial vicar (also known as an associate pastor) — will only be served by one because of the necessity of staffing priests to the 121 parishes across 19 counties in Northwestern Ohio.

Father Scott Woods, the current pastor since 2022, will remain in service to St. Jerome and All Saints. He will celebrate Lord’s Day Masses on Saturdays at 4 p.m. at All Saints and 6 p.m. at St. Jerome.

On Sundays, Masses will be offered at 8:30 a.m. at St. Jerome and 10:30 a.m. at All Saints.

There will also be liturgies during the week, alternating between the two churches. At All Saints, a Communion Service will be offered Mondays at 8:15 a.m., and Masses will be celebrated Wednesdays and Fridays at 8:15 a.m.

At St. Jerome, Masses will continue to be celebrated Tuesdays at 6 p.m. as well as Thursdays at 8:15 a.m.

St. Jerome and All Saints already collaborate in a number of ways, sharing a staff that provides for the needs of both parish communities, a common weekend bulletin, a website (sjascatholic.org) and most recently, a new Facebook page (St. Jerome and All Saints Parishes).

The current parochial vicar, Father Michael Bialorucki, who has served at St. Jerome and All Saints since 2023, was recently reassigned by Toledo Bishop Daniel Thomas to serve as parochial vicar at St. Gerard Parish in Lima and as Catholic Services Priest at Allen-Oakwood Correctional Institutional, also in Lima.
