Genoa class of `71 plan open house
Alumni of Genoa High School class of 1971 are invited to an open house set for Saturday, Sept. 19, at 3 p.m. at Maumee Bay State Park.
Food will be provided. BYOB. Freewill donations will be accepted. Attendees are invited to bring lawn chairs.

Woodward HS Polar Bear Golden Lunch
The Alumni and Friends of Calvin M. Woodward High School invite all WHS students from the class of 1923 through 1976 to the Polar Bear Golden Luncheon Wednesday, Oct. 7 at noon in the Woodward gymnasium, 701 E. Central Ave., Toledo.
Anniversary classes to be honored include pre-1936, 1941, 1946, 1951, 1956, 1961, 1966, 1971 and 1976. The 2026 Girls State Track Champion and the 2026 Boys State Track Qualifier will also be honored.
The cost is $25 per person. Seating is limited to the first 200 Polar Bears and their guests. Former Woodward staff members are welcome. The reservation deadline is Sept. 23. Contact Sherry at 419-356-4468 or sherry506@live.com.
Lunch will include kielbasa, chicken, green beans, sweet and sour cabbage, mashed potatoes with gravy, rolls, dessert and beverage.
Clay Alumni invited to Eagle Fest Sept. 12
Clay High School alumni are invited to Eagle Fest, set for Saturday, Sept. 12, from 5-10 p.m. at Oak Shade Grove, 3624 Seaman Rd., Oregon (rain or shine).
The all-class reunion event, presented by Clay Alumni Association, is open to alumni and guests age 21 and older. In addition to an opportunity the gather and reminisce, there will be an Eagle Spirit Wear Contest (wear your green and gold) and food trucks on site.

Proceeds raised go toward Clay Alumni Association Scholarships and support of Clay High projects, such as the new Eddy and Edna Eagle mascot uniforms in 2025.
Penta Classic Car Show
Penta Career Center Transportation programs will once again host a Classic Car Show on Wednesday, Sept. 30, from 4-7 p.m. at the Penta campus, located at 9301 Buck Road Road in Perrysburg Township. In the event of rain, the show will be rescheduled to Wednesday, Oct. 7.
All vehicles and motorcycles are welcome. Admission is a donation of non-perishable food items to benefit local charities..
The event will also include music, food trucks, raffles, and vehicle awards.
