‘An Evening on the Titanic’

The Pemberville Freedom Area Historical Society will present, “An Evening on the Titanic,” Saturday, Oct. 4 at 7:30 p.m. at the Pemberville Opera House at 115 Main St.

The program is the opener for the annual “Live! In the House” concert series.

Join Captain Smith and Margaret “Molly” Brown at the Captain’s Party on the fateful evening of April 14, 1912 — the night the Titanic struck an iceberg. Learn about the people, music, and fashion of the ship. The drama runs approximately one-and-a-half hours long, and incorporates costumes, period music, photos, and mementos to bring history to life.

Suitable for all ages, this drama is both educational and entertaining.

Tickets are $15 and are available at Beeker’s General Store and the Front Street Café in Pemberville, as well as at the door, or by calling Carol at 419-287-4848.

To complement the “Titanic” presentation, the opera house is partnering with Front Street Café to offer light themed hors d’oeuvres prior to the show at 6 p.m., in addition to the regular menu.

With support from the Ohio Arts Council, the Pemberville Opera House Concert Series continues Nov. 1, when The Great Kaplan, an earnest Vaudeville performer, inexplicably gets caught in the crosshairs of the universe. Illusion, music, juggling, and deadpan comedy collide in this Vaudeville-esque spectacle.

Information on the remaining shows is available online at PembervilleOperaHouse.org.
