To the editor: I believe in supporting seniors by voting YES for the Senior Levy. I worked for the GLCAP Sandusky County Senior Programs for five years. During that time, I met countless seniors who were able to get home delivered meals, eat at a senior center with others, receive transportation, or participate in the many education, exercise programs, and wellness activities. Keeping friends at the centers or making new friends was a welcome part of their lives. Family members of homebound seniors were so grateful for the nutritious balanced meals that were delivered and the contacts and short conversations with the drivers. For a $100,000 home, this levy will cost less than $3 per month. As the President of the Citizens for the Senior Levy, I urge you to vote YES for the Senior Levy on Nov. 4.
