Kalle Heins, a senior at Woodmore High School, signed her letter of intent to attend The Ohio State University and study agriscience education during the 97th Annual Ohio FFA Convention last week.
Heins will enroll as a student in the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences and the Department of Agricultural Communication, Education, and Leadership this fall.
Heins was recently one of two recipients of a $500 agriculture and natural resource scholarship from the Ottawa Soil and Water Conservation District.
The scholarship is for Ottawa County students who are pursuing education beyond high school in an agriculture or natural resource field.
Heins is also a multi-sport athlete at Woodmore.
