The JWH Oregon Senior Citizens Center, Inc. which celebrated its 30-year anniversary at an open house on May 18, announced the receipt of a generous $100,000 challenge match donation from the Patrick Trompeter Family Foundation designed to inspire additional community support.

The donation, one of the largest in the Center's history, will fund vital programs and services that enhance the well-being and engagement of local seniors. The Senior Center is facing challenges in their budget after the levy did not pass last fall resulting in a loss of $240,000.

The donor has issued a challenge to the community to contribute matching funds in any amount up to the $100,000.

"This incredible show of support not only provides immediate funding but also encourages our community to come together and invest in the future of those age 60+," Paula Benton, Executive Director of the JWH Oregon Senior Center, said. "We are deeply grateful and excited to see how this challenge will multiply the impact of every contribution."

The JWH Oregon Senior Center offers a wide range of programs, from wellness and nutrition services to educational and social opportunities, helping our 60+ community stay healthy, active, and connected.

Community members interested in participating in the challenge match can visit www.oscohio.org or contact Paula Benton at 419-698-7078 or onthebay@buckeyeexpress.com for more information.

The JWH Oregon Senior Center is dedicated to supporting the health, independence, and quality of life of those 60+ in Oregon and the surrounding communities through comprehensive services, activities, and advocacy.
