OJHS plans 2nd spaghetti dinner
The 2nd Annual Oregon Jerusalem Historical Society Spaghetti Dinner will be held Tuesday, June 3, from 4-7:30 p.m. in the Jerusalem Township Community Hall, 9501 Jerusalem Rd. (SR 2), Curtice.
Artist Robert Kroeger will return with 15 painting created from the Lucas County Barns he visited on OJHS’s tour last year. As a donation, he is gifting the paintings to OJHS to be auctioned off as a fundraiser for the organization.
Proceeds from the sale will benefit OJHS’s 2025 programs and events as well as the organization’s “Raisin' the Roof” campaign. Kroeger is also an author and will have his books available for sale at the event.
Dinner will be served from 5-6:30 p.m. The menu includes spaghetti with meat sauce, salad, rolls and butter, beverage and homemade desserts.
From 6:30-7:30 p.m., OJHS trustee, historian, genealogist and life coach Elvis S. Shepherd will discuss local stories from his book, “Jerusalem Township on the Lake, Living Remnants of the Great Black Swamp.” The book will be available for purchase at the event.

Together We Move
The Ability Center will present Together We Move, a community movement designed to bring people of all abilities together at Glass City Metropark–Market Hall on Sunday, June 1. The metropark is located at 983 Front St., Toledo.
This free, inclusive, and family-friendly event invites attendees to celebrate the power of movement—together. Registration opens at 9 a.m., with the event officially kicking off at 10 a.m.

Mud Hens, Walleye Takeover
The Toledo Mud Hens and Walleye are taking over the Main Library, 325 N. Michigan St., Saturday, May 31, from noon-4 p.m.

Touch a Truck

Put on your hard hats and buckle up your construction vests—something BIG is rolling into Imagination Station.
Imagination Station is partnering with Kokosing for an action-packed weekend of big machines and hands-on fun during The Science of Big Machines on Saturday, June 21, and Sunday, June 22.
The weekend will offer a behind-the-scenes look at how STEAM powers the real world of construction. Attendees can gear up for a day of fun as they learn the science behind moving the earth—literally.
Climb into the driver’s seat of real construction equipment. Meet the experts from Kokosing and learn how these big machines get big jobs done. Plus discover all the possible careers in the construction industry.

Genoa Super Cruise-ins
Genoa Super Cruise-ins will be held Tuesdays June 24, July 29 and Aug. 26 from 6-8 p.m. in the village’s downtown.

Yoga at the Grove
Relax, breathe and stretch with Yoga in the Grove, which will be offered on various dates throughout the summer at Spiegel Grove at Hayes Presidential Library and Museums, Fremont.
Yoga Haven studio will offer yoga classes in the rose garden of the property, which is an arboretum and the estate of President Rutherford and First Lady Lucy Hayes.
Classes will be offered Friday, June 27, from 6:30-7:45 p.m.; Saturday, July 19, from 7:30-8:45 a.m. and Friday, Aug. 8, from 7-8:15 p.m.
This 75-minute classes are designed for all levels, and teachers will create variations to assist in accessibility to students’ needs. The class includes basic yoga poses, breathing practices and deep relaxation.
The cost is $10 for HPLM members and $15 for nonmembers.

Vendors sought for arts, craft pop-ups
The Greater Port Clinton Area Arts Council is looking for vendors for three pop-up arts and crafts events which will be held over the summer.
The 3rd Thursdays events will be held June 19, July 17, and Aug. 21, from 5-8 p.m., in the parking lot of The Arts Garage, 317 W. Perry St., Port Clinton. The Arts Garage itself will be open until 8 p.m. as well.
GPCAAC is looking for arts and crafts vendors who would like to set up a booth to sell their art to the public. Interested artists should register at gpcaac.org/arts-crafts-fest.
The GPCAAC monthly pop-up events will have at least one food truck (with the Rotary Perch Wagon featured on June 19), a make-and-take craft guests can participate in, along with entertainment. While there is a nominal charge to be a vendor, the pop-up events are free for the public to attend.
In addition, The Arts Garage offers classes for children and adults. Children who live in Ottawa County may take children's classes at no cost but must be accompanied by an adult. Interested persons can register at gpcaac.org.
The Arts Garage is open Thursday-Sunday, 11-4pm, and until 8pm on 3rd Thursdays.
Tee up for Freighter Golf
The National Museum of the Great Lakes is transforming transform its 617-foot Col. James M. Schoonmaker Museum Ship into a floating mini golf course this June for Freighter Golf: Around the Great Lakes, presented by Savage and Associates.
From June 1-30, museum guests can test their short game on five custom greens—one for each Great Lake— while exploring landmarks and stories tied to the region’s maritime heritage.
Access to the course is included with Museum Ship admission and is free for members and Museums for All participants. No tee time is required, and parking is free.
“There isn't anything quite like putting aboard a lake freighter!” said Cris Shell, NMGL Experience Manager. “The bounce of the steel, the curve of the deck, the breeze of the Maumee – it's a great challenge. Not to mention the courses themselves, one course for each of the Great Lakes, each with iconic landmarks and Great Lakes Geography.”
The event includes prizes and weekly drawings. Any hole-in-one earns an automatic entry into weekly drawings for tickets to the Greater Toledo Classic. Plus, all hole-in-one entries are also eligible to win a family membership to NMGL at month’s end.

Music at the Market
The popular Music at the Market concert series returns to downtown Perrysburg on Thursday, June 5, kicking off a summer of free live music under the stars.
The series runs every Thursday evening from 7- 8:30 p.m., June through August, on the Commodore Schoolyard lawn at 140 E. Indiana Avenue—in the heart of the DORA District and in conjunction with the Perrysburg Farmers Market.
Concertgoers are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket and settle in for a rotating lineup of regional performers spanning a wide range of musical genres.
The 2025 season opens with a performance by The Madison Avenue Band, a nine-piece ensemble known for upbeat rhythms and exceptional showmanship.
The Music at the Market series is presented by Laibe Electric and supported by Lakeside Interior Contractors and Visit Perrysburg.
Chicks for Charity
Chicks for Charity, a nonprofit organization that inspires the joy and dignity of philanthropy in women and girls, will host its annual fundraising event, Chicks Mix `25, on Wednesday, June 18, from 5-9 p.m. at Birchwood Meadow in Swanton.
The event will include live music from the Toledo School for the Arts’ Steel Drum Band, basket raffles, a silent auction, food, drinks and more.
Tickets are $50 for Chicks ages 19 and older and $25 for Junior Chicks ages 3-18. Funds raised will support HOPE Toledo, which supports pre-K through post-secondary education. Purchase tickets at chicksforcharity.com.
