Pet food assistance
Ottawa County Senior Resources has supported the pets of its Home Delivered Meal clients—and any senior resident of Ottawa County—for many years.
Caring for pets can be a significant challenge for seniors, especially those facing mobility issues and financial constraints. Pets offer older adults invaluable companionship, emotional support, and a sense of purpose.
Seniors living in Ottawa County are eligible to receive pet food and basic supplies – up to $100 a year – through Senior Resource’s Pet Food Assistance Program.
Pet owners should note that specific brands or types of pet food may not always be available. Senior Resources purchases food and supplies from local stores in Ottawa County and does not source from national pet store chains.
The Pet Food Assistance Program is made possible through the support of the Harry Stensen Memorial Fund & Ohio Animal Foundation.
To learn more or request needed pet food and supplies, call Ottawa County Senior Resources at 419-898-6459.
