Benton-Carroll-Salem Local Schools recently welcomed nearly 200 senior citizens to Oak Harbor High School on Dec. 4. for its annual Senior Citizen Christmas Luncheon, which over the years has become a long-standing tradition designed to bring the community together in celebration of the holiday season.
Performances from the School of Rock, Brass Ensemble, Clarinet Quartet, Saxophone Quartet, Flute Quartet, Jazz Band and Mixed Chor filled the room with joyful holiday spirit.
Before the meal, Oak Harbor High School junior Jillian Widmer offered a heartfelt prayer, leading into a recognition of the B-C-S transportation staff, whose generous contribution enabled the district to provide the meal free of charge to all attendees.
Members of the OHHS Student Council, FFA and National Honor Society assisted with setup, serving and cleanup. The Food Services Department for prepared the holiday meal. The luncheon concluded with laughter and conversations.
