Alzheimer’s Association: ‘Habit Builder’ tool can help take charge of brain health

Posted

The Alzheimer’s Association has announced the launch of the Brain Health Habit Builder, a free web-based tool designed to empower individuals to assess their current habits and take proactive steps to improve their brain health.

Healthy habits can help one live better now and protect memory and thinking as you get older. Brain Health Habit Builder users will get research-backed guidance to help them make lasting changes and take charge of their brain health.

The Alzheimer’s Association has established itself as a leader in brain health by translating the latest research into programs and initiatives for the public.

  • Checking your brain-healthy habits is easy and takes just a few minutes. Visit alz.org/habitbuilder to answer a few brief questions and learn the basics of brain health along the way.
  • You’ll receive a personalized plan based on your answers, including guidance and tips to help you make positive changes. It can be hard to build new healthy habits. Taking small steps, like setting a realistic goal for yourself, is a great way to start.
  • Download and print your plan and display it in a place where you’ll see it every day. Research shows that regularly seeing your goals encourages you to build – or stick with – new habits.
  • Share the Brain Health Habit Builder with friends so they can make their own plans and commit to taking charge of their brain-healthy habits, too.

It’s never too early or too late to take charge of your brain health, and the Alzheimer’s Association has the resources you need to get started. Visit alz.org/habitbuilder and start building your brain-healthy habits today.
