A bill that would give owners more autonomy over their rental units has been passed out of committee in the Ohio House of Representatives.
The House Local Government Committee held its fourth and final hearing recently before passing it by a vote of 9-4.

Nora Kiss, of Budapest, Hungary, paid a visit to the Toledo Birmingham neighborhood. Kiss, who is originally from Szeged, Hungary, visited Calvin United Church's Embroidery Class to meet with fellow embroiderers and see how they are preserving the Hungarian culture in Toledo.

Mayor Mike Seferian has announced a Navarre-Dustin-Isaac Streets Stakeholders’ meeting that will be held on Wednesday, May 18 at 8:30 a.m. in council chambers in Oregon, 5330 Seaman Rd.
Long time Oregon City Administrator Mike Beazley is planning to retire in the next few months.
He wants to make sure the city has enough time to work through an adequate search and transition process.
Lucas County Sheriff Michael J. Navarre will appear at a Jerusalem Township Trustee meeting on May 24 at 7 p.m. to discuss the end of road patrols unless the township can raise enough funds for the service.
