The clean-up project at the former Brush Beryllium site near the Village of Luckey is about 20 percent complete, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is estimating.
As of Aug. 16, the Corps said it has removed 34,446 tons of contaminated soil from the site.

Lake Twp. – Police charged a Toledo man with possession of criminal tools and criminal trespassing Aug 14 after he was observed outside a pole barn in the 4700 block of Genoa Road. Jeff Sterling, 46, was charged, police said.

With a nearly six foot bicycle of his own making, Chase Clements and his dog Sonny take a rest at the pavilion of Calvary Lutheran Church, Bradner Road, Northwood. The bicycle includes a basket that Sonny can ride in.
