A program designed to help entrepreneurs and small-business owners thrive in an economy clouded by the coronavirus pandemic is expanding into Ottawa County.
•Aggravated burglary of an occupied residence in the 100 block of E. Springwood St., Sept. 19.
•An unknown suspect took a wallet in the 3700 block of Navarre Ave. on Sept. 18.
•Sherri J. Morgan, 601 Carey, Zanesville, OH, 180 days Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio (CCNO), $397 court costs and fines, possession of a controlled substance.
Lucas County Commissioners, in cutting the budget earlier this year, noted that the sheriff’s office is not required to conduct road patrols in the townships. Legally, the sheriff had certain responsibilities, they said. Road patrols were not among them.

With a few exceptions, area townships, villages and schools in Wood County are asking voters on Nov. 3 to renew existing millage issues rather than asking for additional property taxes.
