Twenty-three small businesses in Ottawa County are receiving grants through a regional incubator program.
The Ottawa County Improvement Corp. in October launched the program to support small companies with special consideration for those impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Funding for a riverwalk project in the Village of Oak Harbor has been included in the state capital improvement budget.
Mayor Quinton Babcock said the village and the Oak Harbor Development Group have been informed that $500,000 has been allocated for the project.

The Ottawa County commissioners have approved the hiring of Dr. David Applegate to fill the upcoming term of county coroner.

Construction is expected to start next summer on a new water tower in Lake Township.
The project is one of several scheduled to start in 2021, according to the Northwestern Water and Sewer District.

Mary Anne Howard, of Oregon, has a Christmas tradition of displaying her collection of over 300 nutcrackers. When asked which is her favorite, she could not narrow it down to one. She has been collecting for over 30 years and has now decided to leave them up all year round.

A sentence of consecutive prison terms for a man convicted of raping a child has been vacated by the Ohio Sixth District Court of Appeals.
The court remanded the case of Robert Stull, of Green Springs, back to the Sandusky County Common Pleas Court for resentencing.
