The Faithful Workers of Faith United Methodist Church prepared and distributed 165 free meals at a drive-thru on Jan. 9. The special free event was a way to give back to the community, according to church member Marcia Cousino.
Northwood expects to take bids this year to build a new community center where the former Woodville Mall was located.
Five acres of the 120 acre site, off Woodville Road, will be dedicated to the construction of the new center.

The law eliminates the duty to retreat in almost any public space before using force in self-defense, defense of another person or defense of certain property.
