The Village of Gibsonburg held a remembrance ceremony at Williams Park on Sept. 11 to observe the 20th anniversary of 9/11 and the fifth anniversary of the Public Safety Service Memorial.

Nearly 60 volunteers of all ages showed up at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Martin, for “Let's Build Beds” a charity that builds beds for underprivileged children in Ottawa County, ages 3-17. In addition to beds, the children will receive sheets, pillows, comforters, stuffed animals and prayers.

Construction is underway on Chappel Place at Levis Commons, a $4.5 million commercial structure that includes more than 13,000 square feet of retail and office space – the newest development within The Town Center at Levis Commons.
A grand opening is scheduled for January 2022.

Ottawa County voters will see a mix of competitive and non-competitive races as well as issues on the Nov. 2 ballot.
In the circulation area of The Press in Ottawa County, races for seats on village councils are for the most part non-competitive.
