Last week, Cardinal Stritch volleyball player Hope Yost accomplished her 1000th dig in a non-league match against Bowsher last week.
“Hope is doing great,” Stritch coach Megan Peer said. “She is a natural born leader on and off the court, she is our dig and serve receive leader, and she is being scouted by five colleges at the moment all of which are (NCAA) D-III or NAIA schools. Hope is going to be missed next year. She is the most coachable kid I’ve ever had the pleasure of coaching.”
Stritch is currently 6-2 and battling for a Toledo Area Athletic Conference championship.
“The team is building and growing every day. We are very young,” said Peer. “I have a freshman setter who Sydney Payeff who is a great smart player and is learning her way around being g a leader on the court. All three of my seniors Jamie Popkin, Lauryn Henderson and Hope are leading a lot of our stats. We are learning to be controlled and confident on the court.”
