Wood County Hospital programs aim to empower women’s health
Wood County Hospital invites area women to two special February events, both dedicated to promoting women’s health and wellness
The Positively Pink Women’s Health Series continues Thursday, Feb. 13, at 7 p.m. in the hospital meeting rooms. The program topic is “Movement for a Healthy Life.” Social time will begin at 6:30 p.m.
The program will explore how women can incorporate exercise at all stages of life to improve strength, functional movement, aerobic capacity and weight management. The discussion will also address the role of protein, hormones, sleep and recovery in achieving wellness goals.
The evening will also feature snacks, blood pressure screenings, and vendor tables offering health information. Registration is free but required and can be completed by visiting woodcountyhospital.org/classes - Community Wellness or calling WCH Wellness Services at 419-354-8887.
Ladies; Night Out
“Ladies’ Night Out” returns at WCH Thursday, Feb. 20, from 5-6:30 p.m. in the surgery waiting area.
This free event – themed “Inspiring Wellness” and “Toasting to You,” offers women an opportunity to gather with friends while focusing on the importance of women’s health.
The evening will include appetizers, mocktails, giveaways and tours of the Women’s Center. Guests can explore tables featuring vital health information and trending topics, meet WCH providers and ask questions about prevention, early disease detection and available treatments.
Each attendee will also have the opportunity to win a gift card to a local spa, Amazon or the WCH Gift Shop, and everyone will receive a “swag” bag of goodies.
Registration is requested and can be completed by visiting woodcountyhospital.org and searching “Ladies’ Night Out.”
Both events are part of Wood County Hospital’s commitment to empowering women with the knowledge and resources to lead long, healthy and happy lives.
