Wilbur Frank Hesselbart

Wilbur Frank Hesselbart, 96, passed from this life to eternity on March 7, 2023, at Otterbein Pemberville.
He was born on February 23, 1927, to Frank and Anna (Haar) Hesselbart.  He graduated from Woodville High School in 1945, and went on to serve in The Army Air Corp.  He married Marilyn Clarke in 1950 and she passed in 2012.  Together they raised three sons Kevin, Wid (Judie) and Neil. 
He was employed at LOF, Riverside Dairy and at Ken’s Furniture Store where he worked part-time for 20 years. He retired from Sun Oil after 35 years. Wilbur was very active at the Woodville United Methodist Church, served as Trustee for Kitchen for the Poor, he was a 25-year member of the Woodville Volunteer Fire Department. He also served on the Portage Valley Retirement Village as President of the Board and as a Trustee.  He was a 32nd degree Mason and a Shriner. He was an avid Falcon Club supporter, selling 50/50 tickets for over 50 years. 
He was preceded in death by his wife Marilyn, sister Lucile Smith, and daughter-in-law Kathy.
Visitation will be Wednesday March 15th at the Woodville United Methodist Church from 9am -11am, with the service being held at 11 am.  Wilbur will be laid to rest at Westwood Cemetery, Woodville Oh. Marsh & Marsteller Funeral Home in Woodville is handling the arrangements.
