Suzanne "Sue" M. Spurgeon
Suzanne “Sue” M. Spurgeon, 62, of Genoa, Ohio, passed away at home, with her husband, Dave at her side, on September 9, 2024. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on October 15, 1961, the daughter of Leroy and Sharon (Gladney) Imm. She married her loving husband, David Spurgeon, and for the next 44 years they made a wonderful life together.
Sue had worked for Spurgeon Chevrolet in downtown Genoa for many years and continued welcoming many others while working with Genoa Chevy and later Baumann Chevy, where she retired. She always had a smile on her face and a positive attitude.
Continuing her family-oriented approach, Sue managed a family business, Spurgeon’s Tree Service, where she made new connections with many area residents. Sue was always there for her family and would drop anything to help them. Her most cherished title was “Nana”, to her grandchildren. She was always the most comfortable with her family around her. She mentored many area youth through her leadership with Boy Scout Troop 385 for over 20 years. Gardening, canning and baking were her passions. Hosting and attending local garage sales was her favorite hobby.
Sue is survived by her soulmate, Dave, mother, Sharon Scott, children, Thomas (Brittany), Tony (Jess), Timothy (Katie), Tammy (Rob), grandmother of Jaxon, Barrett, Maylee, Gracelynn, Isabelle, Ramona, Gavin, Rogelio, Santiago, and Aspen, and grandmother, Marie Gladney. She was preceded in death by her father, Leroy Imm, brother, Joe Imm, and grandfather Homer Gladney.
