Stritch's Brocus to cheer at Siena Heights
Athena Brocus, who will graduate from Cardinal Stritch in the spring, has committed to cheer for Siena Heights University beginning this fall.
"When I visited and was allowed to experience student life, I could truly see myself thriving there," Brocus said. “After searching for colleges with my intended major in cognitive study, I found that Siena Heights offered the program, and I felt that the transition from Stritch to Siena Heights would be easy.”
Brocus said she will miss Stritch and how close the students are with each other, but looks forward to making new friends, experiencing new challenges, and creating lifelong memories.
While Athena was on a scheduled tour at Siena Heights, she met the assistant cheer coach and cheer team members.
Brocus has been extremely busy on campus at Stritch, becoming a three-year member of student council, varsity cheer, cabaret, the homecoming float committee and games club. She participated twice in musical set painting and the indoor soccer team, and she also was a one-time member of the varsity soccer team, the scrapbooking club and the after-prom committee.
