Stritch announces Thompson as head football coach

Cardinal Stritch Catholic High School & Academy announced that Allan Thompson has been hired as the new varsity football coach.
On the heels of announcing the addition of Denny Shoemaker as athletic director, coach Tim Yenrick ‘81 as the girls varsity basketball coach, the hiring of Coach Thompson continues the restructure of Stritch athletics.
Coach Thompson, a 2011 Cardinal Stritch graduate, joins the football program with experience as a recent head varsity football coach at Woodward High School, assistant varsity football coach at Waite High School, and assistant varsity football coach at Cardinal Stritch in 2017.
“I am grateful for this opportunity to be able to return to a program that has meant so much to me in the past, as a player and as a coach,” Coach Thompson said. “I am ready to revitalize the varsity football program and return to play in the fall. I am certain that with the support of administration, families, athletes, and the entire Cardinal Stritch community, that Stritch Football will rise again.”
