The Sunday School children of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Graytown, welcomed Connie Cornett, TNT Mentoring Program Director, and presented her with a check from monies they had received during the past year in their Penny Jar Offerings.
This program is part of the Ottawa County Advocacy Center, which also includes CASA, Ticket to Success, Grand Love, and the Summer Lunch Program.
“The children were pleased to be able to have a part in benefitting students within the Benton-Carroll-Salem School District,” Sunday School teacher Addie Brant said.
Cornett remarked that these programs are always looking for more volunteers and male mentors are most in need.
TNT Mentoring is partnered with B-C-S Local, as well as Woodmore Local, Genoa Local, Port Clinton City, Danbury Local and Put-in-Bay Schools to provide one-to-one mentoring between adult volunteers and students in the districts. Call 419-301-0TNT or visit tntmentoring.com for more details.
