Saying goodbye after 60 years

After 60 years as a secretary/bookkeeper, Ginny Whiteman decided to call it a career and retire from the V.E. Peterson Co. Feb. 1 was her last day at the company, which is located on E. Broadway. “I started on Feb. 1 and I wanted to finish on Feb. 1” said Whiteman. A graduate of Lake High School, she also raised two children and helped her husband, Galen, run the family farm on Walbridge Road. Galen still farms, his son, Rick, said.
