Robert "Bob" L. Bohmler
Robert “Bob” L. Bohmler, age 76, of Oregon, Oh passed away on Friday, October 11, 2024 at Mercy Health-St. Charles Hospital. He was born on April 18, 1948 in Toledo, Ohio to Edward and Marjorie (Hergenrather) Bohmler. Bob was a 1966 graduate of Cardinal Stritch High School. He married his wife, Jan Lindell on October 15, 1976. Bob worked for Rieter Automotive, retiring after 35 years of service. Bob was a devout Catholic and former member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and currently attends St. Ignatius Catholic Church. He enjoyed traveling, especially to Crystal Lake in Northern Michigan. In his spare time, Bob loved to rock hunt, collecting rocks and fossils. He enjoyed nature and bird watching and was a member of the Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge. Bob loved Boston Terriers and walking his dog Chance along the Lake Erie shoreline.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Jan Bohmler; sister-in-law, JoAnn Flanagan; nieces and nephews, Sherri (Brian) Sweet, Darlene (John) Sweeny, Scott (Wendy) Carson, Kelly (Mike) McCain, Bob (Kristie) Flanagan, Colin Flanagan, Chase Flanagan, and Lauren McCain. He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Dennis (Nancy) Bohmler, Ray (Chris) Bohmler, and Sandy (Jim) Carson.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 18, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Ignatius Catholic Church 212 N. Stadium Rd in Oregon. Family will greet guests from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Memorial contributions can be made to the Cleveland Clinic Heart Institute or Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge.
