Ray E. Nissen

Ray E. Nissen, age 71, of Millbury, Ohio passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2023. He was born on November 15, 1951 in Toledo, Ohio to Evelyn and Marvin Nissen. Ray was a 1969 graduate of Clay High School and furthered his education at Ashland College with a degree in Business. He was the manager of Nissen Concrete-Toledo Plant for many years. Ray also taught various classes at Terra Community College and PENTA Career Center.  Most recently he became a Professor at Tiffin University. In his spare time, Ray enjoyed working on computers. He was known by his family as a “computer techie”.  Ray loved being outdoors in the sun, and wintering in Florida. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Ray is survived by his loving wife, Summer; his siblings, Eugene (Barbara) Nissen, Jerry (Virginia) Nissen, Barbara (Carleton) Schroeder, and Terry (Jill) Nissen; special aunt, Bonnie DeStefano; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.     

A celebration of life will be held on June 23, 2023 at The New Sportsman Club, 1420 Woodville Rd., Millbury. Open House from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Memorial contributions can be made to Wood County Humane Society Bowling Green, OH or a charity of the donor’s choice.
