Owens Express baseball to host doubleheader at Fifth Third Field

The Owens Express baseball team, led by head coach John Parisho, will return to the home of the Toledo Mud Hens for a doubleheader against the Community Christian College Lions on Friday, April 19 beginning at 4:30 p.m.
This will be the third year the Express have played at Fifth Third Field. “The team looks forward to this doubleheader all season,” said Parisho.
The Express are undefeated while playing in downtown Toledo. “We are ready to keep that winning streak alive before making another postseason run,” Parisho said.
Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for kids ages 6-17 as well as seniors/members of the military. Owens Community College and Community Christian College will be able to unlock free tickets using the promo code provided on their respective campuses. Students may present their student ID at the box office as well.

Fifth Third Field going cashless
In an effort to improve efficiency, security and fan experience, Fifth Third Field has become a completely cashless venue.
Starting this season, only debit/credit cards will be accepted as payment throughout the ballpark. In addition, mobile payment methods such as ApplePay and Google Pay will be accepted at concessions and in The Swamp Shop.

Walleye ink forward Noah Prokop
The Toledo Walleye have signed forward Noah Prokop to a contract.
Prokop makes a pro debut after completing this season at St. Thomas University, where he picked up a career-best eight points (3G, 5A) in 27 contests. The forward had 21 points (8G, 13A) in 140 games over five college seasons that saw him also skate two years for Nebraska-Omaha and Colorado College. He also picked up a total of 153 penalty minutes in that time.
The Highlands Ranch, Colorado, native played at Green Bay in the USHL for current Walleye head coach Pat Mikesch. In two seasons with the Gamblers, Prokop collected 45 points (21G, 24A) and 183 penalty minutes in 115 games.
