Ottawa County: Grand jury issues indictments
After a recent session of the Ottawa County Grand Jury, indictments have now been returned against the following individuals, according to Prosecuting Attorney James VanEerten:
-Jonroy Wright, who is currently being held in the Ottawa County Detention Facility, has been indicted on one felony count of failure to comply, along with misdemeanor traffic offenses. According to reports of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office, deputies stopped Wright for a traffic offense earlier this month, but he then fled, leading officers on a high speed chase. Wright crashed his vehicle a short time later.
-Daryl Taylor, Oak Harbor, was charged with one count of domestic violence after an incident with a family or household member on April 10. The charge is a felony of the third degree, alleging that Taylor has been convicted of two or more previous domestic violence charges.
-Alyssa Martinez and Alyssa Gomez, both of Sandusky, have been indicted in connection to a 2020 fatal automobile accident. Martinez was charged with one count of vehicular homicide, a felony of the fourth degree, along with misdemeanor charges of failure to yield and obstructing official business. Gomez was charged with one felony count of obstructing justice. Deputies alleged that both women gave false information pertaining to the accident that resulted in the death of a Graytown man.
-Marissa Naumchick, Port Clinton, has been charged with one count of theft, a felony of the fifth degree, after she allegedly stole cash from her employer over a two-week period late last year through early this year.
-Carol Lynn Wheeler, Port Clinton, has been indicted on charges of child endangering, obstructing official business, and tampering with evidence, after she reportedly removed evidence from a crime scene last month.
-Khelci Radloff, Port Clinton, has been charged with one count each of possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia, after deputies found her in possession of the substance during a traffic stop last June.
-Jonathan Youngbar, Oak Harbor, has been indicted on one misdemeanor count of domestic violence and felony counts of disrupting public services and abduction, after he allegedly held a woman against her will over several days earlier this month.
A warrant has been issued for Wright. All others have been scheduled to make their initial appearance in the Ottawa County Court of Common Pleas on May 5.
