Ottawa Co. Community Foundation Rapid Response grants
In response to challenging times in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Ottawa County Community Foundation (OCCF) initiated a Rapid Response effort to help with emergency assistance.
OCCF announced its first round of grants to support Ottawa County non-profits responding to this crisis. A total of $8,850 has been distributed to seven organizations. Grants awarded to date include:
• Ottawa County Family Advocacy Center - Food, cleaning supplies, masks for grandparent-led families.
• Seed Faith Missions Food Pantry - Food purchases.
• Vineyard on Catawba - Personal protective equipment.
• Salvation Army - Food and aid for families in need.
• Engaging Opportunities: Christy’s Corner Café – Food and beverages for health care facility workers and residents.
• Port Clinton Firefighters Assoc. - Personal protective equipment.
• Bistro 163 - Meals for families in need.
OCCF plans to continue to make grants as funding is available.
Donations to support the Rapid Response effort are still needed to meet community needs. Individuals, companies and other organizations may give online at www.ottawaccf.org or send a check to Ottawa County Community Foundation, P.O. Box 36, Port Clinton, OH 43452 (indicate “Rapid Response” in the memo line). Donations of any amount are welcome, and all contributions are tax-deductible.

In 2019, the Ottawa County Community Foundation distributed more than $483,000 in grants and scholarships. Since its beginning in 1999, OCCF has distributed more than $5.4 million.
