Marjorie Ann "Sue" Older

Marjorie Ann “Sue” Older, age 84, of Bradner, Ohio passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at Otterbein Senior Life Community in Pemberville, Ohio.  She was born on December 10, 1936 in Washington D.C. to the late Gilbert & Marjorie (Thrasher) Wild.  Sue married Allen “Sonny” Older on June 2, 1956 in Gibsonburg, and he preceded her in passing on January 20, 2007.

Surviving Sue are her children, Elizabeth Older of Walbridge, Cynthia (Samuel) Patmone of California, Victoria Beeker of Virginia, Allen Older of Bradner, Christina Older of Williston; 8 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert & Marjorie, and her loving husband, Sonny. 

Sue was a 1955 graduate of Sand Creek High School in Michigan, and then attended the Toledo Academy of Beauty where she earned her Beautician’s License.  She then became a school bus driver and worked at Gibsonburg Local Schools, and the School of Hope in Fremont.  Sue was a member of the Bradner United Methodist Church where she was very involved in the United Methodist Women Group, and was a former Church Council Member.  Among many hobbies over the years, she enjoyed gardening and was an avid reader.  Her favorite author was Danielle Steele.   

Friends will be received from 10-11 AM on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Barndt Funeral Home in Wayne, Ohio.  Immediately following a Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held on Saturday at 11:30 AM at West Union Cemetery in Gibsonburg, Ohio.  Due to Covid-19 masks will be required and social distancing will be observed.  Online condolences may be sent to Sue’s family at www.barndtfuneralhome.org.
