Maria Teresa Hamilton

Teresa Hamilton, 93, of Walbridge, Ohio, passed away peacefully, Saturday, June 20, 2020, surrounded by her family.  Teresa was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico on October 15, 1926 to Antonio Lopez -Gutierrez and Maria Lopez -Lebron.  On March 27, 1949 she married the love of her life, Fred Hamilton.  Teresa was kind and giving to everyone she met; never meeting a stranger and strived to be positive, even in dark situations.  She enjoyed Wii bowling, playing bingo & bunco, and dinners & desserts with neighbors and friends in her community.  Teresa will be remembered fondly by her family whom she loved dearly. 

Teresa is survived by her children, Lorraine (Barry) Plantz, Kathy (Mike) Horner, Linda Hamilton, and Keith Hamilton; grandchildren, Jamie (Leeca) Plantz, Jason (Tina) Plantz, Derek Plantz, Michael Horner, Brian (Abby) Horner, Michelle (Noah) Simonetti, Jeremy (Jodi) Hamilton, Craig Burtch , and Angel (Vinnie) Kimbrell; 19 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Johnny (Anita) Lopez and Nilda (Ismael) Martinez; along with many loving family members and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; son, Wayde Hamilton; and siblings, Tony Lopez, Edith Negron, and Letty Lopez.   

Graveside services were held at Lake Township Cemetery.  Memorials may be directed to the Angioma Alliance or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.  Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home has assisted the family with arrangements. www.egglestonmeinert.com and Lake Erie.
