Luckey Junction to be featured on America’s Best Restaurants

        Local restaurant Luckey Junction will soon be hosting a visit from America’s Best Restaurants (ABR).
        A national media and marketing company focusing on bringing attention to local, independently-owned restaurants, ABR will bring its Roadshow to the restaurant on Wednesday, Aug. 7 to highlight the restaurant’s popular dishes and conduct extensive on-camera interviews with owners Larry and Danielle Bertok about Luckey Junction’s special place in the community. The episode will be aired on social media channels at a later date to be announced.
        Luckey Junction was nominated to be on the Roadshow by customer Wendy Barnhart, who gushed about the food, portion sizes (“you won’t leave hungry”), the owners and the fair pricing.
        “They have award-winning ribs [and] their smashburgers are the best we’ve ever tasted,” Barnhart wrote.
        The Bertoks opened Luckey Junction in 2017, and it has remained a popular eatery in the area.
        “We take a lot of pride in our work and honestly, we love it,” Larry said. “And the food demonstrates that. Quality comes first.”
        The menu features a wide array of American fare such as sandwiches, burgers, wraps and hot dogs, salads, hot entrées and pizza. They have weekly food specials, desserts, and a  full bar. To that point, the restaurant purchases prime cuts for smashburgers, roast beef and the like.
        Larry is adamant that what sets Luckey Junction apart from other restaurants is that they are family-owned and customer-focused.
        “There’s not a lot of shows like [America’s Best Restaurants] that educate what truly happens in a family restaurant versus a corporate  [one],” Larry said. “We’ll do the best we can, but quite frankly, we  just want people to sit down and know that someone actually cares. You’re not just a number, you’re not just a profit for us.”
         America’s Best Restaurants will be filming on location on Wednesday,  Aug. 7 from 3-6 p.m. The  restaurant’s finished episode premiere date will be announced on its Facebook page and will be featured on America’s Best Restaurants’ website.
        Restaurants featured on the ABR Roadshow are selected based on their customer reviews, menu items, social media presence, and level of involvement with their community. They are found through customer nominations, internal vetting or by a restaurant applying to be featured at americasbestrestaurants.com.
