Local organizations donate warm winter apparel to TPS
In an effort to ensure that no child goes without proper winter attire, local organizations have joined forces to donate new coats, hats, gloves, and socks to elementary buildings within the Toledo Public Schools.
The initiative is being led by Designetics/Care for Kids, the Knights of Columbus in Perrysburg, and Cumulus Media, in partnership with Susie’s Coats for Kids and Hannah’s Socks, Inc.
The clothing is being distributed to 50 elementary schools across the TPS district this month. The donations aim to provide essential winter apparel to families, ensuring that children have access to warm clothing directly through their schools.
“Our mission is to keep kids warm and ready to learn, regardless of the challenges winter may bring,” said Susie Perry, executive director of Susie’s Coats for Kids and Hannah’s Socks, Inc. “This collaborative effort showcases the incredible community spirit of Toledo and our collective commitment to supporting local families.”
Susie’s Coats for Kids and Hannah’s Socks, Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing warm clothing and socks to children and families in need. Through the generosity of local donors and partners, the organization strives to make a difference in the lives of those they serve.
