Local artists showcasing pieces on Magruder Healing Wall
The Greater Port Clinton Area Arts Council announced the works of the Port Clinton Artists’ Club are on display at the Healing Wall at Magruder Hospital.
With a theme of “Red, White, and Blue,” the pieces will be on display through August. The Healing Wall, a rotating exhibit of artists from around the Ottawa County area, began nearly 10 years ago as a collaboration between the Greater Port Clinton Area Arts Council and the hospital. The goal is that the Healing Wall, which is located in the outpatient wing hallway, can offer a few moments of peace through the stress of a hospital visit.
Magruder Hospital is located at 615 Fulton St. Port Clinton.
The Port Clinton Artists' Club was founded in 1956 to provide opportunities for members to advance their artistic skills. “Red, White, and Blue” features artists in oil, watercolor, charcoal, pastel, acrylic, glass, yard, mixed media and fused glass.
Participating artists include Beth Akins, Helen Arnold, Donna Ebert, Monette Garn, Jan Hackett, Paula Hart, Sharen Helle, Johnny Hill, Alice Holly, Amy Huston, Mary Lou Krasniewski, Jeanne Morgan, Linda Ogram, Barbara Radebaugh, Rosemary Schramm, Marsha Skinner, Lynne Smith, Debra Sue Solecki, and Patty (Cable) Wildman.
Many of the pieces in the exhibit are for sale. For more information in purchasing a piece, contact Rachel Fall, Magruder director of community outreach and physician recruitment, at 419-734-3131, ext. 3363 or rfall@magruderhospital.com.
