Wetlands worth
saving in Oregon
To the editor: I wrote a text to the mayor of Oregon about how important wetlands are to our environment.
I will also be talking about it at the June 12 meeting of city council and our resident advocate, Beth Ackerman, may also be there.
I’m so discouraged about how city officials are representing Oregon. Beth has more knowledge about wetland issues in her little finger than any of our officials, with the exception of Paul Roman.
You keep trying to harm us with industrial development, by draining the wetlands, by over developing along Navarre Ave. from I-280 to Coy Road, and the huge expansion of the Envirosafe landfill.
Members of council and the mayor have tried to make a fool of Beth when she spoke.
