Letter to the Editor: Suspicious Outrage

To the editor: I am curious why any American or politician would be against the DOGE audits of U.S. agencies?

All you have to do is Google the recent nonsensical discoveries by DOGE where the American taxpayer money is going. Seriously … Google it.

Our country has been dealing with natural disasters where FEMA is practically nonexistent, veterans sleeping on the streets, inflated grocery prices from last year, our schools ranking incredibly low in literacy, first responder budget cuts, and the list could go on.

Why are they screaming and suing to stop these audits? I suspect both political sides have been enjoying getting their pockets lined from kickbacks from these ridiculous programs that American taxpayers have been blindly funding.

Senator John Kennedy from Louisiana stated: "The people who are screaming about President Trump's and Musk's audits of federal government spending are the same people who wanted to hire 80,000 new IRS auditors to audit YOU."

I say have at it … audit the whole government including every Democrat and Republican from top to bottom. Do you as an American taxpayer get the ability to shut down an IRS audit of your finances? Of course not, so I say hold every last one of them in D.C. to account.
