The Landings withdraws permit application

The Landings of Oregon, 3450 Seaman Rd., has withdrawn its application for a Special Use Exemption permit to operate as a behavioral health facility.
Reed Hauptman, attorney for MH Holdings, LLC, notified the city building and zoning inspection commissioner that the company had decided to not proceed with the application.
The April 12 letter to commissioner Steven Shrake didn’t give a reason for the decision to not proceed.
Two public meetings were held April 10 at the Oregon Senior Center on the proposal by The Landings to offer additional services, including inpatient psychiatric services, at the senior assisted living facility.
Residents voiced concerns about security and the close proximity to a children’s day care center among other issues.
The application would have gone to the city’s planning commission and then to city council for approval.
