Joyce A. Cornell

Joyce A. Cornell, 77, of Millbury, Ohio, peacefully drifted into the arms of her Lord and Savior, April 8, 2022, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. She was born on October 19, 1944, in Toledo, Ohio, along with her twin sister Joan, to Edward and Ann (Bon) Schnee. Joyce married the love of her life, Kenneth G. Cornell, on February 13, 1965, in Woodville, Ohio, and in 2015 they celebrated their golden anniversary. Together they shared and deeply loved their daughter Jackie L. Barraclough.

Joyce enjoyed working as a cook for many years at Luther Home of Mercy. In her retirement years she could often be found cooking, camping, crocheting and most importantly, spending time with her family and friends.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, husband, half-sister, Mildred Diefenthaler and son-in-law, Thomas Barraclough. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Jackie Barraclough, sisters, Barbara Crosser and twin, Joan (Dale) Stiles, half-sister, Elizabeth (Blair) Lind, along with many loving nieces and nephews.

It was Joyce’s wishes that services be private. Memorials in her name may be directed to the A.C.J.F.D. Station #34, 21016 W. Toledo St., Williston, Ohio 43468, or Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 E. River Rd., Perrysburg, Ohio 43551. The Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory of Genoa, Ohio is assisting with arrangements.
